Based in Melbourne Australia, I have always had a keen interest in design from as far back as I can remember. You'd always see me running around with some scrap paper and a pencil as a kid, and even different paint media as I got older and learnt more about it at school.

I have recently successfully completed a postgraduate certificate in Multimedia at Swinburne University, where I learnt a range of different skills including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, as well as programming languages like XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, mySQL, and ActionScript. Since completing the course I have continued studying at home and have acquired the knowledge of WordPress, jQuery and many new and improved XHTML and CSS techniques.

photoshop Photoshop tick XHTML & CSS
illustrator Illustrator tick Javascript & jQuery
flash Flash tick mySQL
wordpress Wordpress tick PHP

When creating websites I make sure to stick to my few simple guidelines of creating clean and functional sites that comply with W3C regulations (and that validate as this one does....don't believe me, check for yourself ! ), while always striving to create that WOW! factor. For this website I mainly used photoshop for the images, XHTML and CSS to put everything together along with some Javascript and jQuery for all the cool slide and scroll effects.

Feel free to drop me a line (contact me) at any time if you would like to ask me something about any of the sites I have done, or in fact wish to HIRE ME.

danSPORTZnet

Project

danSPORTZnet is a sports news website. I wanted to create a website where one could go for the latest sports news in one place. danSPORTZnet makes use of RSS feeds from different websites, sorts them in descending order of time created and displays them according to the sports category you are looking at.

Design-wise I wanted to create something that was simple to navigate but still exciting to look at. One main feature of this website is the navigation bar which ones hovered over opens up numerous options displayed in different formats.

Ashburton United Soccer Club

Project

Ashburton United Soccer Club is my local soccer club. They came to me looking for a brand new website. They wanted something that was minimalistic in design, and easy to maintain, as they wanted to allocate different people to update the site with latest news, match reports as well as upcoming events.

I ended up coming up with a clean design that could easily be updated through a WordPress account, that way each person could have their own log in details and update what was needed to be updated without having any programming experience.
